Why pick this build

Looking to fill the screen with a barrage of elemental-infused tornados that shatter your enemies? You came to the right place. The Twister Deadeye build guide for the Ranger class utilizes Whirling Slash and Twister to change the battlefield into a hurricane. You can begin this build at level 1 and play it all the way into the endgame.

Whirling Slash creates a wind vortex that can be stacked up to 3 times. Use Twister to consume it, empowering the damage and number of projectiles. Combine this with Ice-Tipped Arrows to imbue your projectiles, converting their damage to cold and creating icy explosions on impact.

Deadeye offers Frenzy Charge generation through Avidity, so you can easily empower Barrage. Called Shots makes it easy to passively apply Sniper's Mark and generate charges. Defensively, the build mixes a high chance to Evade with Deflection and can utilize Energy Shield effectively in the endgame setups.

No required uniques

This build does not require any Uniques to function, making it a great League Starter. Two cheap uniques are recommended once you can afford them: Wake of Destruction (creates shocked ground for lightning-imbued Twisters) and Serpent's Egg (doubles your frenzy charge generation).

Weapon sets

Weapon sets are extremely important for this build. Make sure you correctly allocate all the set-specific points as outlined in the Passive section of the Maxroll guide.

SetWeaponGoal
Set 1Spear — high attack speedFor Whirling Slash. Keep off-hand empty to benefit from Dance with Death. Look for a Winged Spear or Soaring Spear base with an attack-speed suffix. Skysliver is a great unique option here.
Set 2Spear — max damageFor Twister. Attack speed is a dead stat on this weapon. Look for: Increased Physical damage, Added Physical Damage, % Critical Strike Chance, +Levels to Projectile Skill Gems. Switch from buckler to sceptre (Omen Sceptre) after acquiring 2nd Uncut Spirit Gem (Level 6).
